I’m Ross, a commission miniature painter based in Dorking, Surrey. I specialise in Warhammer 40K, but I’m happy to take on pretty much anything — from full armies to individual characters and centrepieces.
About RGB Miniatures
I’ve been taking on miniature painting commissions for a few years, and I’ve recently taken the plunge and gone full-time with RGB Miniatures.
I’m based in Dorking, Surrey, and take commissions from customers throughout the UK.
Most of my work is Warhammer 40K, but I enjoy painting all sorts of miniatures. I’ve worked on everything from full armies to individual characters and centrepieces.
I don’t really aim for Golden Demon-style display pieces. What I enjoy is producing high-quality tabletop miniatures — the sort of models that look great when you put them down on the table and make you want to show them off.
What I take on
Full Armies
From a small force to a full army, I can paint your models to a consistent standard so they look great together on the tabletop.
Characters & Centrepieces
If you’ve got a particular model you want to stand out, I can spend more time on the details and finish to make it something special.
Something Different?
Warhammer 40K is what I paint most, but it’s not all I take on. If you’ve got a project in mind, get in touch and we can talk through it.
Premium or standard?
I offer two levels of painting depending on what you’re looking for. Every project is quoted individually, so there’s no fixed price list.
Standard
Good quality tabletop painting for those who want a nice-looking collection without going overboard on the finer details.
It’s a good option for getting an army painted to a consistent standard and onto the tabletop.
Premium
This is where I tend to spend most of my time.
Premium commissions give me more time to push the quality of the painting, with more attention to details, highlights, shading and the overall finish.
I don’t really aim for Golden Demon-style display pieces. My aim is high-quality tabletop painting — models that look great on the table and still hold up when you pick them up for a closer look.
I tend to lean towards Premium because, given the choice, I find it difficult to stop myself trying to make the model as good as I can.
How it works
1. Get in touch
Send me some details about what you’d like painted. Photos are always useful.
2. We talk through the project
We’ll discuss what you want, the models involved, the painting standard and anything else you’d like included.
3. I’ll give you a quote
Because every commission is different, I price projects individually rather than using a fixed price list.
4. I paint your models
Once everything is agreed, I’ll get started and keep you updated as the project progresses.
